The International Maritime Forum is organized by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and under the auspices of HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a biennial event in November and discusses the most significant developments and issues in the marine environment and what is related to regional and international maritime security, and it also highlights the latest technologies, equipment, and marine systems.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a leading regional maritime country with a coastline of 3400 Km which is the longest territorial coastline in the region. Through Vision 2030, RSNF will update its future programs to adapt to the changes in the region in the coming years. An exhibition will be held during the Saudi International Maritime Forum 2022 to bring together local and international maritime companies. Modern marine technologies, equipment, and systems will be displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition will be an important event where maritime officials and industry leaders will exchange ideas and discuss concerns in an integrated marine environment.
The 2nd Saudi International Maritime Forum (SIM 2022) is planned and organized by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and under the auspices of HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during November 15-17 2022 at the Hilton Hotel in Jeddah.
Due to rapid world events and developments in these critical times, the forum has great significance in demonstrating the risks and threats of unmanned systems globally which will be illustrated by presenting the most prominent challenges and threats to such systems and practical ways in which they can be dealt with in order to limit their spread.
The forum will generally shed light on the following topic:
‘Protecting Marine Units and Vital Coastal Sites Against the Threat of Unmanned Systems’.
