Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Kahtani is the Chief Technology Officer at SAMI, overseeing transfer of technology (ToT) activities, as well as the research, design, and development of defense technologies. With over 20 years of operational and practical experience in the defense sector, Dr Al-Kahtani has a distinguished professional career and an impressive track record. He began his career in the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces as an operations officer in command and control in air defense. He later served as a technical advisor to the President of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), where he undertook significant tasks, including the establishment of factories for ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles, communication systems, and military vehicles. As a founding team member of SAMI, Dr Al-Kahtani contributed expertise in military industries and now serves as the Chairman of the Board of SAMI Navantia, and is a board member of several SAMI-affiliated companies. Dr Al-Kahtani holds a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from George Mason University in Virginia, USA. He also earned Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and in Military Sciences.
