Capt. Pradeep Chawla began his maritime career as a cadet in 1974 and took command at the age of 29. He authored a book on maritime safety in Hindi titled “Jahaz par Suraksha” in 1992, which is the only maritime book that was also made into an audiobook. He served as Group Managing Director for QHSE and Training at Anglo Eastern Univan Group, retiring after 31 years. He oversaw the training of over 30,000 seafarers and 1,800 shore staff. He played a key role in establishing maritime training centers and the Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy in India. He is currently the CEO and Founder of Maritime Knowledge Ltd, offering digital learning management systems.
