Dr. Ahmed M. Balakhder is an assistant research professor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), where he serves as the head of Radar and EW Department within the National Center for Electronics and Defense System.
He has over twelve years of experience performing research and development in various topics, including radar signal processing, stochastic signal processing, detection and estimation theory, rough surface scattering, and remote sensing applications.
Dr. Balakhder received a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2009, the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, in 2015 and 2020, respectively. He is a member of IEEE, AESS, GRSS, and MIRS.
